Manchester United have joined reportedly LaLiga giants Barcelona in the chase to sign highly-rated Real Sociedad star Martin Zubimendi.Barca boss Xavi is known to be a big admirer of the 23-year-old midfielder and wants to bring him to the Nou Camp, but United are now being tipped to make a move of their own.
Mundo Deportivo states that Erik ten Hag is ‘following’ the Sociedad’s progress this season.
Spain international Zubimendi only recently extended his contract until 2027, which now includes a €60million release clause. However, that clause increases to €65m (£56m) for the winter market.
