Manchester United are considering former Liverpool coach Andy O’Boyle for the vacant deputy director of football position at Old Trafford.The Red Devils have gone through a major restructuring at all levels in recent seasons. The manager’s position is again up for grabs, following Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s sacking in November.
While Ralf Rangnick is in interim charge, Man Utd have yet to find a coach to bring long-term stability within the dressing room.
Upstairs, meanwhile, Ed Woodward recently stepped aside as the man leading the operation. Richard Arnold is the new chief executive, with Darren Fletcher now the Old Trafford technical director.
As for transfer negotiations, football director John Murtough and head of corporate development Matt Judge are influential. According to the Daily Mail, though, United are now looking to appoint an assistant to Murtough.
