Connections of Conflated are “50-50” as to whether the Irish Gold Cup winner goes for the Ryanair Chase or the Cheltenham Gold Cup.
The eight-year-old, trained by Gordon Elliott, will be confirmed for both races at the big meeting next week.
“No decision has been made yet. We’re 50-50 between the races. We’ll wait to see what the ground is and see what everyone else is doing,” said Eddie O’Leary, racing manager for owners Gigginstown House Stud. “It will be a late decision. He will be confirmed for both races.”
Conflated is an 8-1 chance for the Ryanair, which is sponsored by Michael O’Leary, and is a top-priced 12-1 shot for the Gold Cup.
